Finally, noticing the working link yesterday, I switched (so far as I can tell) without any problems. I look forward to seeing backfill actually work. The problem with the GW1000 was either it, my cable MODEM, my router, or my Linux computer would go down during a thunderstorm, and, having no backfill, I'd lose the rain data, which I need to plan irrigation for my orchard.
