I have just come back to this - I had a double hard-disk failure in my Synology box that runs my weather webpages - probably not a coincidence that we have had an exceptional heatwave in SE UK! And then the new build was hacked immediately before I could harden it! I have to admit I am using AI to assist the dongle install as I don't have enough expertise to troubleshoot this and I think I have been testing various PPM and gain settings by trial and error. I pasted your reply into the AI and it put it on the right path! To summarise what worked; 1. *PPM value*: -50 2. *Gain*: 0 (auto gain worked best) 3. *Transmitter*: 129 (which is transmitters 0 and 7 combined: 1 + 128 = 129) 4. *Frequency*: EU (868 MHz) The configuration in weewx.conf that worked: [Rtldavis] driver = user.rtldavis cmd = /usr/local/bin/rtldavis -ppm -50 -gain 0 transceiver_frequency = EU iss_channel = 1 leaf_soil_channel = 8 I had to add the ppm and gain to the command line rather than the body of the driver section.
