don't think I've heard before. I've never been to the restaurant but I
think I might go as a result of the commercial. Unfortunately I can't
remember the exact wording, but it was something to the effect of this:
(in deadpan monotone)--"The average American drives a 3 1/2 year old
foreign sedan, has 1.3 children, eats predictable food in boring
restaurants, owns their home, etc. If there is one law that is hard to
break, it is the law of averages". (Excited peppy voice)-- Here at
Not Your Average Joe's, we break all the laws of averages. We serve
exciting food at low prices in a come-as-you-are environment. Try
something new and check out our new menu! (Monotone voice)--the
average household has 1 and a half computers. Use your whole one to
go to www.notyouraveragejoes.com for gift cards, menus, and more!
For some reason when I heard that line "use your whole one to go to
www...." I laughed out loud while alone in the car. I guess because I
was expecting the announcer to rattle off statistics and instead she
was like, I don't give a damn about your 1/2 computer. You got one
that works? Great. Go use it.
