Is it point to point (fixed) wireless? There are some companies that are
doing that well.
I'll mention http://www.rapiddsl.com (I have no connection to them) - they do
high speed fixed point to point wireless around Washington, DC.
I also don't quite understand your statement about not having a laptop. You
can get 802.11 (wifi) receivers for desktops.
