There are many iPod accessories that allow you to listen via your
radio or through your stereo, etc.  If you have an FM adapter, you
can listen through your car stereo -- amazing for long car rides
since you can listen to music, podcasts, or even books.  Also, for
parties, I like to create a party mix -- start with lower-key
chatting music, and build up to the big, drunken dance party --
definitely better than letting the drunks "dj" and leave your cds
all over the place.
