I still have all my vinyl, too (except for what I had to sell when I
was flat broke). Someday I may invest in one of those gadgets that
allows you to transfer music from vinyl to mp3 format, but I've got
plenty of other priorities right now.
Besides, my PDA -- which does, or did, play music -- is kaput. I
picked it up off my desk on Friday evening and found that the image
on the screen had gone all blurry, as if someone had poured water
into the card slot at the top. I showed it to some friends that
night, and one said that she thought the capacitor had blown. She
was going to show it yesterday to her dad, whose company repairs the
things. I haven't had the nerve to call her yet to ask the
verdict.
