Knowing what I know from NOT reading "Fast Food Nation," I'm amazed
that I'm not vegan or vegetarian or something. It all comes down to
loving bacon too much. (Sigh)

My ex's father (a farmer) said of livestock auctions "If you ever saw
some of the cattle that got bid on by the fast food chains, you'd
never want to eat there again."

(My ex's father also said, in a moment intended solely to outrage his
feminist daughter, "I'm all for equal rights. I don't care WHO does
my laundry or cooks my meals!")
