Well, actually, Chief Seattle didn't say the things attributed to him.
He definitely didn't use the exact wording (the speech was written in
1971 for a TV movie), and it's highly questionable whether he said
anything even resembling it.  So it is NOT Chief Seattle's philosophy.
It is, in fact, a Hollywood writer's idea of what a Native American
would say.
