Hey, since it's my birhtday, I think 11/11 is a great date!  (As a Federal employee, I always get a day off for my birthday)  Congrats on the upcoming nuptuals!

Here's my Bridezilla story:  When my cousin got married a couple years ago, my sister was a bridesmaid and my whole family flew to Nebraska for the wedding.  On the day after the wedding, my dad and I helped organize all the wedding gifts as the bride and groom opened them to help them write thank you's later.  We wrote down every single thing and who sent it, separated gift certificates from the cash, etc.

About three months later, they send a thank you note to my parents' house.  My sister and I didn't get our own separate thank you's.  The thank you consisted of a pre-printed thank you card, and a piece of paper about 8 1'2" x 2", apparently cut with scissors (it had crooked edges), with a typed note that read:

"Dear Mr. & Mrs. Young.  Thank you for your household item.  We appreciate it."

Period.  I was so pissed on so many levels:

1.  They couldn't actually sign their names in ink anywhere?
2.  "Mr. & Mrs. Young" should have been written as:  "Uncle Webb and Aunt Margaret"
3.  No mention was even made of me or my sister (WHO WAS IN THE WEDDING)
4.  Why did my dad and I spend two hours sorting all those gifts if they were just going to thank everyone for the "household item"???
5.  I hoped to God their message to my grandparents didn't say "Dear Mr. and Mrs....."

Oh, and I forgot to mention that they had Playstation games and a stereo on their gift registry.

I was appalled!!  It was SO tacky.

(Hey I'm up to message 56 now!  I was quite honored to make the cut....)
