You all know he had a guest spot on Futurama, right? His daughter wrote for the series. He was really funny, and he seems to have a really good sense of humor.

Al Gore was on SNL tonight--he did the introductory skit, as though he
was in a parallel universe where he had won both elections (2000 and
2004).  Then he was on weekend update where he was interviewed by Tina
Fey about global warming.  He is promoting his documentary about
global warming, but I didn't expect him to be on SNL.  They didn't
publicize it at all, so I was really surprised.  After watching him I
realized he would have made a better president than presidential
candidate.  He was very relaxed and personable and funny, and didn't
give the impression that he was above all the nonsense.  I really have
to give him credit for being game enough to do it.

It's amazing how well Darrell Hammond mimics him.  It reminded me of
Dana Carvey doing George Bush--when I saw George Bush it was like
George Bush doing Dana Carvey doing George Bush.
