Those are very good, and were back when SNL was pretty much Must-See
TV. Dana Carvey, as Bush the Elder, going "Bomb `em. Just bomb `em"
was classic.

I remember Phil Hartman (sniff) doing his Bill Clinton impersonation
at a restaurant on the show, and saying something about the situation
in Somalia. "This pizza is relief supplies donated by the world.
Here's my hand, it's the violent warlords who steal these supplies"
and he snags the pizza and starts to eat it. The guy goes "Hey, my
pizza!" and Hartman said "Warlords!" That slayed me...and makes me
miss Hartman that much more.

Who was the guy who did the Reagan impersonation in the skit where he
seemed like a gentle old fella to White House visitors and the press,
and then, once they left, became the most dynamic, sharpest guy in
the room - was that Hartman too?

The guy doing Bush the Younger on SNL now is positively awful.
Doesn't even sound like the President.

Daryl Hammond did a good Clinton. His thumb's up and lip bite were
great touches to a nearly-perfect voice.

You can always tell a great impression when other comics impersonate
the original comic. People didn't do a Bush the Elder as much as they
did Dana Carvey doing Bush the Elder.
