yes I agree, who cares, but people would casually drop the acronym into conversation on the assumption that everyone would know what they were talking about. So I would pretend that I did because I didn't want to sound stupid, and then realize I had no idea what they were talking about. So I thought I was the only one who didn't know what it meant. And wondering what it had to do with mother in law got me even more confused. Daria referenced her MIL, which is what reminded me of it.
