The new job is still in the same industry (wine and spirits) I was in the business of shipping from overseas on cargo ships. Now I will be focusing on legal issues. I like the shipping industry and I loved the work I was doing. I just could not work with this boss any longer. He treats everyone like they are stupid and it's their first day ever on the job. He would tell me to do something one way and then weeks down the line he would question me as to why I did that. He would never, ever admit he was wrong. We had some young 24 yr old guy hired a little over a year ago. Within 8 months the kid had a promotion and his own office, but doesn't do his own work. He constantly has to ask other people how to do things. Then there's the "mothering" office manager. Knows it ALL and takes on other peoples assignments and then complains about being overworked. Hey! How about letting people
do their own jobs! grrr. glad to be getting out of this environment. I've been working full time since 1978 and I have never come across an office enviroment like this.
