I guess the individual player thing threw me off because you're 
married--I assumed that's what you meant but I wasn't sure.  I was 
like, that's pretty sad if she's saying that and she's married.  But 
yeah, playing for the other team means having the opposite sexual 
orientation, whichever it may be.  First popularized on Seinfeld, 
like so many other catchphrases, not that there's anything wrong with 
that.
