Have to assume it's distributed about the same time as > the main cake. It's definitely a Southern thing, like most of the silly "traditions" I've run acorss in the wedding planning process. Or at least that's what I like to think. I'm mostly doing it as a mockery of the whole Wedding Industrial Complex thing. While we are forking over some $$$ for this shindig, we're also skipping out on a lot of frippery like flowers, cake, DJ, fish/seafood (usually jacks the catering price up a good notch (and then it usually sucks)), and open bar (the poor sots will just have to make do with craft beer and wine :P ). A friend of ours from MS handed us a rag called "Mississippi Bride" that featured coverage of the weddings of well-heeled MS types. There were multiple occurences of 10 bridesmaids. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
