hannah - i couldn't STAND american psycho - (it ended up in a box of books from my old apt - my ex-roommate didn't read so i took all the books thinking they were mine) i was so thoroughly disgusted by it that i actually walked out of my apt and threw it away in a dumpster OUTSIDE - i didn't want it in my house! maybe i missed some nuance or whatever but it frightened and disgusted me completely! the movie was nothing like the book...
