I saw Devil Wears Prada but I didn't read the book. Is one definitely better to than the other or are they both enjoyable in their own right? I heard the movie is fairly different from the book. I think sometimes I'll see a movie even if the book didn't really appeal to me because I enjoy watching actors bring life to characters. It's kind of like the whole email issue--there are no vocal cues, facial expressions, increased volume for emphasis, etc. in the written word. Adding the visual and audio elements to the written word makes it come alive so to speak. Also if an actor I like is in a movie based on a book I will see it just to see the actor and what he or she does with the part, even if I wasn't interested in or didn't like the book. Anyone see or read "Everything is Illuminated"? I didn't see it or read it, but it sounds interesting.
