In 1991, my friends Gabe, Jimmy and I went to the Denny's in Annapolis (the one that had that incident with the black Secret Service officers a few years later), and had a Grand Slam Eating Contest. Gabe played football and baseball, and weighed about 270. I played football and was a cyclist, and weighed about 140. Jimmy did nothing, and weighed 130.
Each Grand Slam was 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips and 2 sausage links. Gabe bowed out after two Grand Slams, I was done after four, and Jimmy downed an amazing eight Grand Slams in one sitting. Truly an amazing show, and Jimmy's decision to become an Army Ranger after college seemed only slightly less crazy than his Grand Slam Eating night. - Ray --- In [email protected], "areofilm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Back in high school, the morning after Gad Night (look it up) we all > went to Bob's Big Boy for the All You Can Eat Breakfast.
