I highly recommend picking up the current issue of Newsweek, Nov. 13.
The cover story is "The Politics of Jesus," all about Evangelicalism
and the influence of religion and the right wing on politics and
everyday life. Fascinating and scary. It is actually multiple
articles on different aspects of the theme, very well-written and
highly enlightening. There is a separate story about Ted Haggard.
Get it while it lasts--weekly magazines have a short shelf life. They
don't last long because the next issue is always ready to pounce on
the shelf space. So I wanted to give you a heads up right away so you
still had time to buy it before it disappears.
