I felt the same way about the Jewish couple scene at first, but then 
my friend Posh John remarked that he thought it was a really great 
device that Sasha Cohen used to show that Jews really are lovely 
people, and that it is a false and ridiculous sort of anti-Semitism 
demonstrated in the movie.  He wasn't ever overtly mean to the 
couple, and this way audiences can see how sweet they were and how 
ridiculous anti-Semitism is.
