UMass Amherst students are violent when they're angry, violent when they're happy, violent when they're bored, you name it. Any excuse to trash their school, literally. They did the same thing for both Patriots superbowl wins and the Red Sox World Series win. To paraphrase Jennifer Aniston--they seem to be missing an emotion-control chip. Yes I think it is wonderful how UMass Amherst is setting such a good example for higher education in our state. Unlike New York which has Binghamton, Albany, Stony Brook, etc., Amherst is the only campus with a comprehensive university, so students don't have much choice if they want to go to a full unversity with in-state tuition. That's not to say it is the only school with this problem, even in this state--Northeastern is probably almost as bad, and I hear UMD College Park has had similar incidents.
