What's the oddest or most annoying gift you received this year? I'll start: My brother and his fiancee gave me a photo of themselves in a ginormous frame. It's a 5x7 print of their engagement picture, in an 11x14 inch frame. I think she honestly expects me to hang it in my apartment. I've come around to Gene's opinion on family photos: Walls are for art; albums are for people. My sister got the same thing -- this, the girl who doesn't even have pictures from her OWN wedding on her walls. It could be worse -- our parents got an 8x10, and though my parents do have our high school senior pictures in small frames on top of the piano, our family is not the kind who has entire walls dedicated to portraits, so my poor mother is stuck having to hang this monstrosity somewhere. Does this strike anyone else as a strange gift or am I annoyed for no legitimate reason? It is, however, a slightly better gift than the Bible they gave me last year.
