One of the things that drew me to Gene's writing was his courage in going for serious topics as well as the funny and light-hearted. Today's chat was like an episode of "Taxi" - how rare for a sitcom to make you sad and laugh at the same time, but Taxi could do it. Same with the chat today.
Abortion is such a tough topic to debate because of the raw emotional anger that many folks feel towards it - either pro or con. I think he tried to bring a sense of dignity and reason to the topic, and that's commendable. Definitely one that gives pause, that's for sure. - Ray
