Chicago isn't as bad as some other places in the Midwest, but I left Maryland in 1998 weighing 185. After living in Iowa for two years and three months, I came back to Maryland weighing 230.
I'd keep the pants for at least a year, just in case. Especially if you meet a bunch of folks who like to go out and dine. Or, at least through that first Chicago winter, which tends to make one dormant and hungry. If you stay relatively petite through that, I'm sure there are tons of Chicago homeless shelters that could use them. You may want to check out those vac-seal bags. They can really compress the pants for easy storage. Besides, pants are light. Stuff like books, videotapes, obsolete home electronics - that's where a lot of weight gets wasted. Good luck. --- In [email protected], "Ellen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > This isn't exactly funny, but you guys tend to have strong opinions, > so I thought you might have some insight into my dilemma.
