I can relate to the shlepping.  I live on one extreme side of Richmond, and if 
I see a potential date or friend is on the opposite side, my inclination is to 
skip that one.  And that's just Richmond.  I remember when I lived in NoVa it 
was even more insane.  If you include all of the DC metro area....oy!

Truthfully, though - I have no intention of schlepping up to 
Baltimore routinely. It's not far; but it's a pain in the arse to go
