As a school teacher this whole storyline is obscene. A cleft palette and a speech problem do not a Special Ed kid make even in Canada where there is NCLB. There has to be something else wrong which is not necessarily unreasonable with a kid who had the cleft palette, but make them more apparent. And most kids don't make fun of the Special Ed kids anymore. Too many football players are in Special Ed.
And watch our facts! Lizard Breath is Elizabeth the older daughter. The one with the "major" musical performance issues is April. Personally, I wish Lynn would get back to Elizabeth's love life already. It was a more interesting storyline.
