I agree with you on all points. I am a HUGE dork and have seen the movie twice already (not really my fault, my aunt called and I couldn't really say no to her). I would have loved a 3 hour movie with more details, but feel they did a fantastic job of tying in the huge amount of things that happened in quick time.
As for book 7 - I leave for vacation the 21st, had booked a flight for the afternoon to make sure I'd be home for delivery, only to have the airline bump our flights to earlier. No worries though, I ordered it from Border's and am going to wait in line with the hundreds of other crazies on Friday night. Yes I am concerned. On 7/13/07, Duffy Batzer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I thought this was the best movie so far. It works well as a movie in its own right, but it was also the best adaptation. One and Two weren't hard to adapt as they weren't as lengthy. I really liked Three, but thought they glossed over the Marauders' Map and his dad being the stag. Four they spent way too much time on the dragon and tasks. Though the graveyard scene was perfect as what the Department of Mysteries in Five. I want some Dobby, dammit. SPOILER!!! I actually felt worse about Sirius in the movie than I did in the book. I also thought it was really cool how Dudley's friends were still there when Harry threatened him with the wand. It was a nice contrast to hear them laughing while both Dudley and Harry knew how serious the situation was. SPOILER DONE! So anyone as nutty as I am for next Saturday!? Not only do we have two copies coming from Amazon, I also went to B & N and reserved to copies in case something goes wrong with the mail delivery. Not only that, but we are going on an Alaskan cruise on the 22nd. Guess why we picked that date to leave?
