Jeez, now you're going to get the list all serious. Some of these laws make sense, or at least have counterparts elsewhere. I don't think you can fly kites in DC, except on the Mall on the last Saturday in March; and I only WISH spitting were outlawed in public (at least, anywhere I am likely to be). My reaction is invariably, "Ewww! What are they THINKING?" I've never gotten an answer, either, probably because until now I've had the good sense not to ask. Stephanie
