      EDITORS NOTE
<><><><><><><><><><>

Dear subscribers,

Thanks for being here again. I hope you haven't missed
me too much the last week :-)

Anyway, my New Zealand friend Buddy has left the building,
and life continues... We had a few good beers, went to see
some rock gigs and shared some old stories with a few
ex-girlfriends who suddenly showed up... well, whatever,
I'm not going into details here :-)

Hey, I'm currently creating an E-book, called "E-zine
Publishers Interviewed".

I already have a list of 50 E-zine Publishers who participate
in this project, me included :-) and if you'd like to receive a
FREE copy, you can email me via the link below, and I'll
send you the E-book when it's done.

Please request a copy via this link:

Did I mention it's FREE? No problem! You're welcome :-)

Thanks for being here again! Enjoy the read!

* From The Desk Of Simon Presley

Simon spends his time bothering people through the mail.
He began writing these just to amuse himself. But, he found
that it was an amazing way to get free stuff - and the replies
were far funnier than the actual letters. Read them all, along
with the replies, at the link below.

* The MegaPenny Project

Visualizing huge numbers can be very difficult. People regularly
talk about millions of miles, or billons of dollars, yet it's still hard

to grasp just how much a "billion" really is. The MegaPenny Project
aims to help by taking one small everyday item, the U.S. penny,
and building on that to answer the question: "What would a billion
(or a trillion) pennies look like?"

 WEIRD NEWS
-------------------------------------------------------------

A radiologist has discovered 60 pieces of stolen jewellery
hidden in the vagina of a teenage thief in France. The
young suspect, from Yugoslavia, was having medical
tests to help police determine her real age when the find
was made by X-ray. Police say the girl, believed to be 16,
had been caught red-handed with her brother stealing
jewellery in Sete, southern France. Officers had already
found 200 grammes of gold she had hidden in her
knickers. The jewellery removed from inside her was
made up of 60 necklaces, bracelets and rings placed
in a small plastic bag.

A French man impersonating a policeman has been
arrested after stopping two real gendarmes for running
a red light. It is alleged Anis Ben Blal became fed-up
with motorists breaking road regulations and equipped
his car with a flashing light. He decided to stop a car
which had passed through traffic lights on red in Rouen,
but found the occupants were two real policemen. He
was arrested on the spot and faces charges of
impersonating a police officer.

A brewing company based on the island of Orkney
has clinched an exclusive deal to supply Japanese
drinkers with ales such as Skull Splitter. The contract
won by the Orkney Brewery stems from a visit by the
president of a Japanese importer who stumbled on
the business while on holiday with his family. The
Japanese importers had such a good response to
their first shipment of beer that they quickly ordered
a second and third batch. The strong orders prompted
the brewery to start printing labels in Japanese. So far,
the brewery has sent more than 2,000 cases of beer
to Japan, which looks set to become one of its biggest
customers.

left."
- Gary W. Shaw II

"My girlfriend is weird. She asked me, 'If you could know h
ow and when you were going to die, would you want to know?'
I said, 'No.' She said, 'Okay, then forget it.'"

 USER TIP
------------------------------------------------------------

Techiniques for better searches

The web is a clutter and jumble of sites unless you learn to
specify exactly what you're looking for. Cut through the
clutter with these search tips. They'll work in many search
engines (Yahoo, Google, Altavista, etc.).

To find words that must be together, put quote marks around
them. For example, "vegetarian pizza". Otherwise, the engine
will return all instances of "vegetarian" and "pizza".

Narrow your search with a plus sign or a minus sign. Use a
plus (+) sign to indicate you want only Web pages that
contain a specific word. Use a minus (-) sign to indicate
you want pages that do not contain a specific word. For
example, +recipe +"vegetarian pizza". Let's say you wanted
a recipe for pizza without olives. You could type
+"vegetarian pizza" +recipe -olives and you'd be returned
the appropriate pages. Each search engine may have specific
parameters for searching, so look at the advanced search
menus for their specifics.
