A Filipino man threatened to shoot his son because he
refused to get a hair cut. Paciano Ochada was arrested by
police in Calocan, Manila after pulling a gun on 25 year old
Joey. Despite nagging by his father, Joey refused to cut his
hair after growing it to copy one of his TV idols, reports the
New Zealand Herald. After a drunken argument, Paciano
threatened his son with the gun in a final attempt to get him
to cut his hair. Police were called and Paciano was put in
custody for possessing an illegal fire arm.
A woman's spent a night in a jail in South Carolina after her
mobile phone rang in a courtroom. Lashenda Floyd became
the first person in Charleston history to be held overnight in
a county jail for contempt of court involving a ringing phone.
It rang as Judge Markley Dennis was sentencing a man to
life in prison for murder. Once he'd dealt with Travis Lamont
Graham, he ordered Floyd before the bench and found her in
criminal contempt of court for failing to turn off the phone.
A woman in Germany has been driven out of her marital bed
by a jealous pet monkey. The 45-year-old woman, Claudia S,
said she could no longer sleep with her husband, Bernd, after
their pet rhesus monkey, Buddy, threw her out. Claudia said:
"I had to move out of the way otherwise he would pull on my
hair. I can't even get into the bed anymore as he gets jealous."
She said they had tried to lock the monkey out of the room
"but that only lasts about an hour before Buddy starts screeching
and wakes the whole neighbourhood up".
