Well, you got a point, but then, why would JSF be a dependency at all ;).
My reasoning was that CDI (Weld) is part of the JEE6 stack, where you rather
use jsf2. And I think it's going to be mostly used in JEE6 containers, and in
combination with jsf2, not jsf 1.2, but I might be wrong of course.
