I'm not able to reproduce this problem. Please see the following tests which
should be mirroring the code in the description of this bug:
tests/src/test/java/org/jboss/weld/tests/producer/field/named/ProducerBeanInvocationTest.java
tests/src/test/java/org/jboss/weld/tests/producer/method/ProducerBeanInvocationTest.java
