Attached a test case for this bug.
There is a failing test in the project which tests if the given exception is
thrown.
The reason will be:
java.lang.Exception: Unexpected exception,
expected<org.example.CustomException> but
was<java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException>
The test can be quickly executed with maven:
mvn test
