Lots of weld applications (such as Errai, UberFire, Guvnor, drools-wb, ...) use GWT and use the GWT hosted mode to easily run their apps in their IDE.
GWT hosted mode is probably still based on Jetty 6 (but weld recognizes it differently because it also has tomcat classes).
