Matej Novotny edited a comment on WELD-2345   Re: Write out migration notes from Weld 2.4 to 3.0 So far we know about: * {{weld-core}} versus {{weld-core-impl}} ** In 3.x we no longer generate {{weld-core}} artifact and only have {{weld-core-impl}} one ** They should be equal in contents * Shaded JARs ** Version 2.x created shaded JARs (for SE, Servlet) as {{weld-se}}/{{weld-servlet}} ** In version 3.x we added {{shaded}} affix - {{weld-se-shaded}}/{{weld-servlet-shaded}} * Presence of Weld modules in 3.x ** Since 3.x Weld has separate modules for Web, EJB, JTA, JSF ** This means classes were moved between packages ** Also integrators will need to react to this accordingly * {{beans.xml}} change for vetoed alternatives ** The famous CDI-627, changed the default behaviour for vetoed alternatives * Weld 3.x requires Java 8 * {{BeanManager#fireEvent}} was deprecated ** While it still works, {{BM#getEvent()}} should be used in its stead Add Comment   This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.2.3#72005-sha1:73be91d)
