Wellington Waterfront Limited is currently working with the Wellington Chinese Garden Society (WCGS) and Wellington's Sister Cities, Beijing and Xiamen on the design for the Chinese garden. Following the design discussions the WCGS will need to secure the funding for the garden before a decision is made on the remainder of the park upgrade. We do not anticipate the WCGS funding to be resolved until at least the middle of 2010. Once sign off on the design is received WWL will complete the drawings and lodge a resource consent by mid 2009. We trust this answers your query.
