Patrick is running some poi workshops on the 14th of March... Beginners and advance with a fire jam afterwards at Frankitts.
Here are some details: Hello fellow spinners. Kyle Hawkridge and I will be visiting Wellington from the 13th until the 15th of March and we have decided to bring our poi workshops there. We would be holding 2 poi classes (one beginners and one advanced) at Frank Kitts Park on Sunday (14Mar). Beginners class would concentrate on the fundamentals of poi movement, which include footwork, plane control, timing, and form. Turns, weaves, butterflies and other basic moves and combinations would also be covered. Advanced class would focus on more technical moves like stalls, flowers, isolations, pendulums and hybrids. Performance techniques and tips will also be included. Each class can stand in itself but I highly recommend attending the beginners class before going to the advanced class. Classes would be at very minimal costs. It would be $10 for each class but if you attend both classes, you get a 50% discount on the second class (so you'd be paying only $15 for both classes. $5 saving right there) Class schedule: 4:30pm - 6pm ------------ Beginners class 6:15pm - 7:45pm -------- Advanced class 7:45pm onwards --------- FIRE JAM (hopefully) Also, I would be flying back to the Philippines on the 27th of March so it would awesome if i can meet up with all you guys there.
