If you plan on running RVM on ubuntu do this BEFORE you install RVM sudo apt-get install build-essential zlib1g zlib1g-dev libxml2 libxml2-dev libxslt-dev sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev locate git-core libssl-dev openssl autoconf bison libreadline5-dev curl wget
