It was a deliberate move to distance Brewers from South Wales Transport, whose vehicles were always Swansea registered, and was also a reflection that the most of the Brewers network was in the former counties of Mid and South Glamorgan.
618 is still in service with First Cymru (as 46718), in Barbie 1 livery and fitted with an LED destination display. A set of bus seats was fitted a few years ago.
