Hello,

Maybe i missed something, but why isn't there a european repository
publishing a h263 plugin a h263 enabled version of GnomeMeeting ?
Do you think you will have any problem using MPEG4 in wengophone and
distribute it in OSS linux distribution ( in the main tree ) .
Some Fedora Core packagers (thanks!) have raised some issues concerning
the use of these codecs, and the inclusion of our software in major
distros' main repositories. So we'll probably have to work on separating
patented codecs from non-patented ones in some way or another (at
compile-time or at runtime).
Do you plan to licence the codec to MPEG LA ??
I have no idea, and i don't know MPEG and MPEG licensing enough to have
an insightful opinion about this.
Off-topic : it seems that mailman is configured so the reply does not
go to the list .... shouldn't it be changed ?
You're right. Actually, it's a choice that we made. I think that the
advantages of reply-to to the author of the message outweight the
drawbacks. The main reason is that, when the reply-to header is setup to
reply to the list, it's too easy to publicly answer an email when you
want to send it privately.
However, it's not written in stone, so we may change our mind according
to people feedback.
All the best,
