Hello,
Marco Menardi a écrit :
The general User Interface guidelines imposes that if a menu item does
not directly what it tells, it should end with "...".
I think that the rationale so far behind the addition of "..." in a menu
entry has been that it opens a web browser. Is your suggestion a
freedesktop guideline, or anything that would be quite common across
GNU/Linux desktop for example ?
Different items naming suggestion
Menu:
Wengo
- Make call
+ Call |or| VoIP Call
- Send SMS
+ SMS (you will add then subitems)
- Start chat
+ Chat (you will add then subitems)
This is a very good suggestion. After some thinking on our side, we feel
that the following proposal would be better :
- Leave "Send SMS" as a top menu entry
- Rename "Send SMS" in the submenu entry with "Other Number"
- Move "Other Number" at the bottom of the list
As for "Make Call", we thought that moving the "Compose" submenu entry
at the bottom of the list would be better too.
We think that it is the less costly and the most coherent change that we
could make.
What do you think about that ? The ticket #256 has been created
accordingly, please feel free to comment it.
All the best and thank you very much for your suggestions,
