hey all,
I sent a mail to rms to ask him if he could help us promote openwengo as
he travels around the world. He told me it's a great project and that
he's going to add it to the free software directory on the fsf.org
<http://fsf.org> :).
The only thing he didn't like (as you might guess :) was the
openwengo.com <http://openwengo.com> front page that is (according to
him) not very "free software" friendly but more "open source" friendly
because it says "open source
GPL license" which should be "GNU GPL license" and "for Windows and
Linux" which should be "for Windows and Gnu/Linux" also the association
of "Free calls, Free software" make it sounds like free software means
gratis and not libre.
He said he would like to promote openwengo much more if those changes
are made (adding a support link to the project on the fsf.org
<http://fsf.org> frontpage and talking to people about it in his
interviews and conferences).
Hope you don't take it as blackmailing :)
What do you think?

I'm a BIG FAN of RMS, and I totally agree about pushing the Free
Software concept above the OpenSource (i.e. in italy we have a company,
OSItalia, that stands for "Open Source Italia" that produces CLOSED
SOURCE accounting software, but since it gives the source of it to his
partners, uses the term "Open Source"... what a confusion!
http://www.ositalia.com/).
