I've met the same problem as yours, this problem have been mentioned in the previous thread.
I was trying to use the 0.96.91 when i met a problem with LDMODULEPREFIX.
But this was fixed several hours ago, so try to check out the new code from the svn and compile
using scons 0.96.1.
It's caused by the new version of scons, try to use the stable version(0.96.1) instead of scons-0.96.91. This will fix the problem you mentioned.
