I would say, let's work on both of these ideas, and we'll see what comes
up from them.
What do you think about this?
It's a good idea. But, if we want a death line for a stable release, I
think it's good to give some priorities.
I agree, but i think that it's too early to tell which of these
sub-project will get the most attention from developers. I think the
priority is now to get more and more people interested in contributing
to the project. If there are more people willing to work on the API than
on the plug-in system, then it wouldn't be fair to put the priority on
the plug-in system, IMHO.
I see on an other mail from you you(or somebody else) will talk about
wengophone @linux solution and FOSDEM (I'll be there with some beers:
Orval, Chimey Bleu, ... :-P). It could be nice to release a new version
for these events.
I agree it would be very nice.
The roadmap is being refined day after day, and you can see from the
roadmap module here :
http://dev.openwengo.com/trac/openwengo/trac.cgi/roadmap
that there are already new milestones (firefox 1.0 alpha and firefox
1.0). For some of them, due dates are already set. For others, due dates
are not yet determined. It will be hard to have something new to
announce at FOSDEM, but any work toward this goal is more than welcome.
A tools (like a wiki page) where everyone says on what he works and his
progress could be great. It could be great to have a R/W access to this
page for everyone in order to keep it up to date. On this page everyone
says if he think his feature is ready for the next release...
I totally agree.
Thank you very much for your comments.
All the best,
