The Free Software/Open Source Telephony-Summit is a technical conference

and those who want to know more about what the Free Software/Open Source
world has to offer in the telephony and VoIP sector.

For the first time the event will this year be held in association with
LinuxTag (www.linuxtag.org), Europe's most important open source event.
Participants of the conference on Tuesday, May 2nd 2006, can visit
LinuxTag on the following days and/or book tutorials out of the LinuxTag
tutorial program to deepen their knowledge.

We are looking for any presentations on software, projects, protocols and
real-world experience related to the subject of telephony (be it on the
Internet, and Intranet or in the plain old telephony system) using Open
Source software.

Presentations are being solicited in areas including, but not limited to:

  * Introduction and status reports of Open Source telephony projects
  * VoIP (Voice over IP)
  * Connection to and interoperability with POTS/ISDN services
  * Interoperability between VoIP systems
  * Security
  * Experiences with Open Source telephony products in the enterprise
  * ENUM services
  * Voice chat systems, voice conferencing, voice mail, VoiceXML
  * Voice and video integration

There will be two parallel tracks for most of the conference day.
Presentations should be 20 minutes or 40 minutes in length including
time for questions and answers.

This is an international conference, the conference language will be
mostly English. You can submit proposals in English or German, but
English is preferred.

All Proposals should be sent in no later than Monday, March 13th.

You are also encouraged to submit proposals for tutorials on the same
subjects. One-day tutorials will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd in
conjunction with other LinuxTag tutorials.

One speaker for each accepted paper or tutorial will receive a complimentary
free pass to the conference and other LinuxTag events.

Please use the LinuxTag Conference Center ( https://www.linuxtag.org/vcc/)
to submit proposals. Create an account for yourself there, change the
password and enter your personal information and proposal(s). Please
use the category "Telefony-Summit".

The conference is preceeded by a three day workshop (April 29th to May 1st)
for active developers of Free Software/Open Source Telephony-Software,
which is by invitation only. Please contact us if you think you are
eligible and interested in participating at this workshop.
