We have made our first try at circumventing the eol caracters problem. Every source file has now the eol-style attribute set to native, so that your subversion client should be able to do the conversion itself, depending on the OS it runs on.
Next time you update to head, you'll update nearly everything (apart from binary files). So don't be surprised if it takes much more time than usual ;-).
