Hey, whats your objective? If it's to make this bunch of developers going to change their mind, face the fact: you have failed. It's doesn't really matter what you say at this point, unless you apologize for all the lack of netiquette you have showed in your messages.. People are angry with you, for very understandable reasons.
Angry people doesn't listen, such is life. I'm one of those. So: either stop this meaningless discussion, or start a new thread (another subject line, that is) and try to start from scratch. To apologize would be a reasonable start. To respect the skills and competence of this team (don't count me, I'm just a guest) is another part. And present yourself. Who are you, what's your interest in this, what's your record? And whatever thoughts you have about who is smart or not, keep them for yourself. Nobody is interested.
