Details:
Similar to the now resolved bug #8522, I'd like the team_name= to not be used
as the player-visible team name (in the status table, I'm not sure where else
it appears in) if no user_team_name= is given.
Most campaigns for example use team names like like "baddies" and
"friendlies" (which look a bit silly) because previously the team name wasn't
shown to the player at all and thus the team_name= was never player-visible. I
don't think there's much if any value in using the team_name= for the
player-visible team name. It's not even supposed to be marked as
translatable. So, my desired behaviour would be that the team name is never
shown to the player unless there is a user_team_name= explicitly given.
I'm preliminarily assigning this to darth fool, since you fixed bug #8522
too.
