Follow-up Comment #1, bug #9566 (project wesnoth):
This a conflict with the game hotkeys which are loaded in the editor hotkeys
for no reason. If a key is used by both, only one function works.
Two simple workarounds :
- change these hotkeys in the editor preferences, which currently show only
game hotkeys :-( . This will not affect the game preferences, because they
are saved in an other file.
OR
- after install, launch the editor before any start of the game, the editor
will see the empty preferences file of the game, and so will not load these
game-hotkeys in the editor preferences. You can also move/rename/delete these
preferences files to simulate this.
Of course, this need to be fixed. I already look it a little, there is an
annoying hard-coded url of the game-preferences in the hotkeys manager. Seems
not a simple fix, but not impossible. Sadly there is bigger hotkeys bugs to
fix before
