Thanks for the report, the assertion problem has been fixed in 1.3.7. The
problems with the SoF (which caused the assertion) is also mentioned in bug
#9595. A related bug is bug #9870 which will be fixed in 1.3.8. So I'll close
this bug. Also note the retry is useful for people who have a debugger on
their system, otherwise it will simply abort.
